I said it’s a net down hill ride. I said it would feel like a recovery day. Only 1,700 feet of ascent, so after our epic Yellowstone ride the day before, this will be a piece of cake!

Mother Nature said, “yea right” and threw us some serious headwinds and cross winds and some warm temperatures! Never say it’s easy until it’s over. lol!

Wyoming east of Yellowstone all the way to Cody (about 50 miles) is stunning with canyon views as the Shoshone River works its way down to the Buffalo Bill Resevoir and power dam. Lunch in Cody at a 5 star Dairy Queen and then 25 more miles in the open prairie east where we ended our day at 75 miles.

Tomorrow, we continue with similar, relatively barren rolling lands. At the end of the day tomorrow, we’ll be at the base of the Big Horn Mountain range. Today we could see the Big Horn range looming in the distance. I don’t think any of us have had a 7,500 ft ascent day! This will be a tough day that we are saving for Saturday as our first full day off comes on Day 19, this Friday.

PS we’re going to miss Jenny!!!!
