Some days will be better than others. Today featured a 50-mile journey with approximately 3,500 feet of ascent, initially planned as an 80-mile ride! The weather improved significantly compared to our first two days, and the views through the Columbia Gorge were stunning and the pine trees were so damned fragrant! However, a landslide, a bridge detour, a fallen tree, a bike seemingly losing a rear hub gear, a sore elbow, and a 13% grade climb for over a mile all took a toll on the team and slowed us down. We could complain, but we anticipated days like these! It's all about adapting!

Some adjustment on the schedule is in the works tonight. Looking forward to Day 4!
